Album Info
Being lovers of vintage rock and heavy sounds, Mario García (guitar), Charlie Sánchez (drums) and Miky Simón (bass, vocals) formed the Electric Valley in 2014. Fast synergy and affinity between the three musicians created a sonic monster that roars loudly combining the most forceful and dense riffs of the classic stoner-doom with more hypnotic and progressive atmospheres.
After ten years on the road, the Madrid-based trio Electric Valley hit the studio to work their new album, “Echo.” Recorded live by Javier Ortiz at Estudio Brazil (Madrid, Spain), mixed by Charlie Sánchez, and mastered by Chris Gossman at Baseline Audio Labs (Ann Arbor, MI). “Echo” has a raw and direct sound, mixing classic stoner-rock with the experimental jams. The end result is an album that is a perfect mix of heavy riffs and psychedelic vibes.
Electric Valley’s new album “Echo” contains seven tracks which speak of epic space adventures and galactic odysseys where the group explores and experiments with grunge-tinged stoner rock, and progressive passages, evoking desert landscapes brimming over inspired by classic sci-fi fantasies, B-movies and old comics. Recorded live in a single shot in the studio, “Echo” is a doomed voyage which speaks of the frustration and resignation felt in the face of the inevitable, that space journey’s end where we find ourselves without quite knowing why.
